Meet the Mayor surgeries return in Mansfield

Posted onPosted on 14th Apr

Mansfield Mayor Andy Abrahams is to hold his Meet the Mayor surgeries again in neighbourhoods around the district.

Residents can turn up at any of the sessions to talk to him directly about day-to-day issues or concerns about their locality. He would also love to hear about the good work that community groups and champions are carrying out in the area.

“I am really looking forward to getting back into the community and listening to what people have to say about living and working in Mansfield,” he said.

“It is important for me to give people that time to chat and reflect on current issues, challenges and to also celebrate the good things happening in Mansfield at the moment.

“I’ll be bringing with me information on the latest economic regeneration projects, the Mayor’s 500 fund and the council’s corporate plan. I’ll also be taking down enquiries from people on the day with a promise that any feedback will be given to officers at Mansfield District Council.

“My aim is to visit every neighbourhood this year in my monthly Meet the Mayor sessions.”

You can meet the Mayor from 1pm to 4pm on the following dates:

Wednesday 20 April, Jango’s Indoor Play Centre, Fulmar Close, Forest Town.
Thursday 12 May, Morrisons, Mansfield Woodhouse.
Wednesday 22 June, Mansfield Central Library.
Wednesday 6 July, Warsop Library.

Further dates will be announced for Bull Farm, Pleasley, Bellamy and Oak Tree areas.

People can also contact the mayor directly on email at [email protected] or on his Facebook page www.facebook.com/MansfieldMayor.
