Mansfield Sea Cadets joined members of the Maun Conservation Group, Mansfield, to make bug hotels and to go pond dipping at The Scrape on the Quarry Lane Local Nature Reserve.

The youngsters found pond snails, sticklebacks and water boatmen.

The sea cadets also helped the group to clean up the path leading to the pond dipping area.
