It was third time lucky for Mansfield woman Chloe-Rose Adkin when she was named Miss Galaxy 2023 — after twice finishing runner-up in the national finals.

Now Chloe-Rose, a sales negotiator at Bairstow eves, is heading to Orlando in August to represent the UK at the Miss Galaxy International Pageant finals, which highlights charity and community work.

“I’m so honoured to represent the UK in Florida,” she said. “It has been a four-year process and I’m excited my dream has finally come true.”

Chloe-Rose, who has raised thousands of pounds for the British Heart Foundation after it helped her grandfather, said she would continue to promote and support the charity.

She is also looking for sponsors to help her international journey.

“I would like to say a huge thank-you to all my sponsors who supported me during my years as Miss Nottingham Galaxy,” she said.

“They include Mansfield businesses Lucy Lashes and The Dress Boutique by Cherished, as well as Richard Murrill Pageant Sponsorship.

“I am now on the hunt for further sponsors and would love to work with local businesses during the year.”
