Mansfield MP Ben Bradley said he was delighted with the news that Mansfield came 20th out of 650 constituencies for having the most engagement and events for UK Parliament Week last year.

UK Parliament Week is a UK-wide festival that aims to engage people, especially young people, from different backgrounds and communities with the UK Parliament and empower them to get involved.

Last year more than 1.2 million people took part in over 11,800 activities in every region and nation of the UK, and countries all over the world.

This year’s UK Parliament Week will take place from 1-7 November 2020. Those who sign up for UK Parliament Week will be sent a free kit packed with resources and an activity booklet tailored for different organisations types.

Ben said: “It’s fantastic to see so much engagement with Parliament across Mansfield and Warsop.

“I work hard to ensure local people have as much access as possible to the Parliament that represents us, so I hope even more events take place across the constituency this year!

“I know that many schools have already signed up to take part and I look forward to hearing about what they have planned. Remember, it isn’t too late to sign up!”
