Radio station Mansfield 103.2 has again teamed up with local businesses to raise money for charities and good causes this Christmas.
Its 12th King’s Mill Hospital Toy Appeal is collecting money for the King’s Mill Hospital Children’s Ward, the Lashes Foundation, and John Eastwood Hospice, as well as toys and games for youngsters on the children’s ward over the festive season.
Toys and games can be left at Smyths Toys on Portland Retail Park, Mansfield; Morrisons in both Mansfield and Mansfield Woodhouse; Tesco on Chesterfield Road, Mansfield; and at the radio station on Brunts Business Park, Mansfield.
Money can be donated at eight collection points in:
Mansfield — Smyths Toys, Casey’s Coffee Bar, and main sponsor Ron Brooks.
Mansfield Woodhouse — Debdale Sports and Social Club, and Park Hall Financial Services.
Sutton — Label Traders.
Kirkby — Freestyle Trampoline Park.
Forest Town — Forest Town Arena.
The appeal’s main sponsor is Ron Brooks (Mansfield).
Organisers are hoping that this year they can take the total raised since 2011 to more than £40,000, as well as adding to the thousands of toys and games also donated.
Donations can be made up to Christmas Eve.
Paul Chadbourne, 103.2 sales director, said: “We are so proud to have been involved for the last 12 years and, along with the generosity of the businesses in Mansfield, Ashfield and Bolsover, to have raised so much money for the Children’s Ward and other local good causes, like John Eastwood Hospice and the Lashes Foundation”
“I’d like to thank every business and person who has supported us over the years. We literally couldn’t do it without you!”
