Major brands coming to Mansfield

Posted onPosted on 5th Jan

ARBA Property Group, a local company driving forward the exciting Stockwell Gateway development in Mansfield, have revealed the three brands that will occupy the restaurant facilities at the prestigious Stockwell Gateway site.

Taco Bell, Tim Hortons, and Domino’s Pizza will all take up new spaces being created at Stockwell Gateway, the site of the town’s former bus station.

Richard Burns, managing director at ARBA, said: “We’re delighted to share this good news, not just because it brings internationally-loved brands to the development, but also because it shows confidence in Mansfield town centre and will provide exciting alternative dining options.

“ARBA Group brought the hugely-popular Capo Lounge brand to Mansfield town centre a couple of years ago, and we are confident that the new outlets will also become firm favourites.”

Taco Bell, the world-famous Mexican-inspired restaurant brand, will be opening an outlet that will create 30 jobs, and bring a new style of dining to Mansfield.

A Taco Bell spokesperson said: “We are incredibly excited to be joining the community and we can’t wait to bring our craveable eats to Mansfield.”

Tim Hortons is a Canadian brand that first opened in 1964 and has been expanding across the UK since opening here in 2017. Domino’s Pizza will relocate from across the road to a new purpose-built building.

ARBA’s £12m proposals to revitalise the former bus station site was given the green light by members of Mansfield District Council’s Planning Committee in November this year.

As well as the restaurants, the plans also include a six-storey, nationally-branded, 100-bedroom hotel with breakfast lounge, car parking spaces, direct pedestrian access to the existing Walkden Street car park, and revamped pedestrian links to the Four Seasons Shopping Centre.

Executive Mayor of Mansfield, Andy Abrahams, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming these renowned brands to Mansfield, where they will widen the choice available to residents and visitors.

“Securing these popular national and international food and drink establishments for Stockwell Gateway, shows confidence in Mansfield and will serve as a catalyst for future growth and investment.

“The regeneration of this key site will contribute to the council’s long-term plans around Growth, Aspiration, Wellbeing and Place and will be instrumental in supporting the town centre through an increased number of visitors who will spend more time and more money in the town centre, helping to support our local economy.”

Nikki Rolls, the chief executive at Mansfield Business Improvement District said: “It’s brilliant to see these well-known brands seeing the potential that Stockwell Gateway offers. We know ARBA Property Group has a track record of successfully bringing projects to fruition, so it will be great to see the site take shape and help to usher in a new era for the town centre.”
