Pupils, grandparents and staff contributed to the design and creation of four mosaics at Wynndale Primary School, Mansfield.

Artist Andrew Wynne, pictured with pupils, guided groups from the school to create four designs that reflected their views of the school.

The designs are a triangle, flower, tree and world. Concepts such as friendship, happiness, energy, love, support, achievement and hard work figured strongly.

Head Jayne Gibbons said: “Our school entrance is transformed by these four dramatic pieces of artwork. I hope future visitors enjoy looking at them and that they create a talking point in the school community for many years to come.”
