A Mansfield family-run business has organised a summer community event to raise money for the Help For Heroes charity.

Skip hire and waste disposal company AB Waste Disposal Ltd is running the event, which is being sponsored by Sign Power, on Saturday, 1st July, at the Little John pub, Ravenshead.

BBQ At The Pub will run from noon until 9pm with a many fun activities, all with the aim of raising money for Help For Heroes, which helps support wounded ex-Servicemen and women.

The day aims to provide something for visitors of all ages, with live bands, family entertainment, a fun fair and an outside bar alongside classic cars, motorbikes, and a show and shine. There will also be a BBQ.

AB Waste’s Stacey Adkins said: “It’s going to be a great event for a brilliant cause. With all proceeds going to Help For Heroes, we hope to see a great turnout.

“I believe this will be a great event for all involved and that it will be a great day for families to enjoy, bringing the community together and raising plenty of money for a fantastic charity that is very close to many people’s hearts.”

Admission to the event is free and anyone can attend, with no booking required.
