Beauty queens who have become friends through the world of pagaenting are to host a charity ball.

The Glitter Ball is being held at the Holiday Inn, South Normanton, on 12th October, from 6.30pm.

It is being organised by Chloe Rose Adkin, 18, the current Miss Nottingham Galaxy, and Bethany Machin, 15, the current Miss Teen Notts Beauty.

Chloe, of Mansfield, and Bethany, of Sutton, are both students at West Notts College, Mansfield.

They are raising funds and awareness for their chosen charities — The Christie Charitable Fund and the Huntington’s Disease Association.

The event will include a two-course meal, live entertainment, a performance by Christine March School of Dancing and a disco.

Stephanie Hill, former Miss England 2017, second runner-up at Miss World 2017 and Miss Europe 2017, will be singing live.

Chloe’s sponsor is MC Productions, which will be supplying lighting and sound on the night. Bethany’s Sponsor is Create Your Day Bridal Boutique, Kirkby.

There will be a glitter wall supplied by Sequin Walls UK for photo opportunities and Decorations By Design is sponsoring the decor. A professional photographer will be taking photographs.

Dozens of donated prizes will be raffled or put into a silent auction, with all money collected being donated directly to the girls’ charities.

Local businesses hat have supported the event include Mansfield Balloon Company, The White Room, Chelcie Florence Studios, Ambers Curly Blowdrys, Laura-Jean MUA, The Beauty Bar, Boots Nottingham, Mansfield Town FC, Notts County FC, Tuffys, Sian Smedley Hair and The Escape Rooms.
