Live music, family fun, and more at Renfest

Posted onPosted on 13th Jun

A family fun day and music festival is returning in Rainworth for 2024 — and will again be fundraising for a host of local charities, as well as cancer support centre Maggie’s.

Renfest, which is put on by Team Vinyl, a Rainworth-based fundraising group, will be held on Saturday, 13th July, from 11.30am until late, at the Renfest Arena on Kirklington Road in the village.

Team Vinyl, pictured at last year’s event, has supported local charities for several years, raising more than £30,000.

One of the local charities that received a donation from Renfest last year was the village’s Sam’s Workplace.

This year’s event, compered by Steve Brailsford, will be in aid of various causes, with market stalls, fairground rides, bouncy castles, a raffle, food stalls, bars, a disco, rodeo bull ride, tombola, and further activities to enjoy for all ages.

Among the bands and musicians signed up to play so far are Invicters 59, Wes Dolan, Yellow Moon, A Rock Choir, Selina Scott, Glamatise, Persuaders, and Indigo Shark.

A spokesperson said: “There will be some fabulous stalls, great bands, and amazing food and drink.

“It is not long now to wait until Renfest 2024, so come and spend an amazing day with us, raising money for charities.”

Renfest 2024 is supported by The Venue, Rainworth; Rainworth Village Hall, The Inkpot, Mansfield, Banner Jones Solicitors, which has a branch in Mansfield; Taylor’s, Razorcutz barbers, Rainworth; and Lindhurst Wind Farm.
