Litter-picking volunteers from Clipstone and Edwinstowe (above) filled more than 25 bags of waste around Sherwood Heath.

The team of volunteers, who have been clearing litter for two years, were joined by local councillor Paul Peacock.

They collected rubbish from along the A616 between Ollerton roundabout towards Budby and filled a further six bags on the A6075 towards Edwinstowe.

Also supporting the litter pick were staff from Newark and Sherwood District Council and officers from WISE, the council’s partners in working towards preventing and prosecuting those who commit environmental crimes such as littering.
