Lifesaving gift to college

Posted onPosted on 13th Mar

A defibrillator is to be installed at Portland College’s new Nottingham campus thanks to the generosity of a business.

Defibshop, which runs a donation scheme allowing one of the lifesaving devices to be given to a charity or business each month, presented the defibrillator at the specialist college’s Mansfield base.

Portland thanked Defibshop for the donation, saying it would provide essential emergency support for students, staff, and visitors.

The company, established in 2005, specialises in supplying defibrillators, cabinets, and accessories across the UK. It aims to reduce the number of deaths caused by sudden cardiac arrest by sharing helpful, impartial advice and providing defibrillators, accessories and training in CPR.
