Members of Sutton Rambling Club gathered at King’s Mill Reservoir in the town to receive a mobile defibrillator from the chairman of Ashfield District Council, Coun Arnie Hankin.

The unit, donated by the council, is to be taken on all club walks in the future.

A spokesperson said: “The club is very grateful to the council for this important piece of equipment. We hope it is never needed, but if it is then it could save a life.”
