Forest Town and Warsop libraries joined World Book Day celebrations in March by becoming token exchange hubs for the nationwide book distribution project.
They also hosted local schools for an author visit, with young pupils getting the chance to swap tokens for one of the World Book Day titles.
Caryl Hart, author of more than 80 titles for children, met over 75 youngsters from Hetts Lane Infant and Nursery and Birklands Primary schools in Warsop Library.
Students joined in a reading of her book, Meet The Dinosaurs, asked questions, and learned about the creatures.
Almost 150 Forest Town Primary School pupils met author and poet Mark Grist, who entertained with poetry about getting into trouble and gave a reading of his book Rhinos Don’t Cry.
During the visit he also gathered ideas for a new poem about books.
