Let The Charity Games begin

Sherwood Forest is set to host a charity event with a difference on 13th March — The Charity Games.

Entrants will have eight hours to complete games at Walesby Forest, with elements ranging from a run to mental and physical challenges, including kayaking, archery, frisbee golf and an assault course.

It has been called Hunger Games meets Crystal Maze, with a dose of the new Eternal Glory thrown in.

The event is limited to 200 entrants, who must enter by signing up with one of the local charity partners.

Participants can enter individually, but will also be scoring points in groups as they seek to win the event for their chosen charity and raise funds.

Nik Emmonds, of organisers Perfect Motion, said: “We are approached by lots of charities who can’t afford to organise their own event and many can’t access places in the bigger mass-participation races out there. So we decided to create something that participants would enjoy, but also feel proud and committed to raising money for their chosen charity.”
