Lego tribute to King’s Mill Hospital

Posted onPosted on 30th Apr

A Sutton youngster’s school project turned into a unique tribute to King’s Mill Hospital.

Eight-year-old Elise Parkes, of Skegby, was tasked by a teacher at Dalestorth Primary School to make a model of a building locally that she admires — using any material she wished.

She was helped by her dad, Ricky, as they built a replica of the Sutton hospital, including the main towers, as well as scenes with miniature doctors and nurses, and patients on stretchers.

The Lego model took them two days to build and was proudly showed off on social media by Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust, which runs King’s Mill. “We’re absolutely in love with it,” the trust said.
