Posted onPosted on 15th Mar

The leaders of The Bolsover School; Heritage High School, Clowne; Tibshelf Community School’ Frederick Gent School, South Normanton; Shirebrook Academy’ and Stubbin Wood School, Langwith Junction; joined Bolsover MP Mark Fletcher to discuss the education system with schools minister Nick Gibb at Westminster.

Mark said it was an opportunity for headteachers and senior executives from academy trusts to raise local issues and concerns they have may have with national policy.

“My biggest passion is education,” he added. “That’s why, since being elected, I have made an effort to visit and work with all the schools in my constituency to help improve education standards locally. I have helped schools with a wide range of issues over the years, but it has been great to welcome them to Westminster and provide an opportunity for them to feedback directly to the minister.

“I am grateful to the minister for hosting the event and to everyone who took the time to attend.”
