People seeking work are being invited to a jobs fair in Mansfield next week.
The fair on Friday, 23 September is at Mansfield Library, West Gate, from 10am to 2pm.
It is being organised by Ashfield and Mansfield district councils who have joined with Vision West Nottinghamshire College and the Department of Work and Pensions. It follows a successful similar event attended by about 600 people in Kirkby-in-Ashfield last week.
Jobseekers will be able to find out about a range of job vacancies, training opportunities and career pathways, including volunteering, apprenticeship schemes and self-employment.
A variety of support organisations will be attending, ready to provide guidance to help people make the right choices for their career. Both events are free and all are welcome.
Coun Dave Saunders, portfolio holder for regeneration at Mansfield District Council, said: “If you are out of work or looking to change jobs – or even career – this jobs fair is the place to be. You might just leave with a new opportunity in life.
“As well as being able to find out about the latest job vacancies, people will also find information about career and training options in the area.”
