Soroptimist International Mansfield and District promoted the club at Warsop Carnival, highlighting how the organisation stands up for women and girls.

Fundraising activities included name the Soroptimist dogs and guess the number of sweets. Recycled ring-pulls, made into jewellery, purses, and handbags from the Purple Community Fund, were sold. Proceeds from the stall went to Soroptimist charities, which support women and girls — locally, nationally, and globally.

Soroptimists will be at Mansfield Summer fair at Titchfield Park in the town on 3rd August.

The club meets on the first Tuesday and the third Monday of each month (apart from August) at The Rushley pub, Mansfield, at 7.30pm, and welcomes prospective new members.
