A Mansfield hub that provides young people with mental health support is among those to benefit from a new £7m Government investment.

The commitment to continue funding Early Support Hubs, including ABL Health in Mansfield, was welcomed by the town’s MP, Steve Yemm.

He said the boost in mental health services for children and young people is set to transform support in Mansfield, ensuring access to early mental health support.

Part of the Government’s 10 Year Health Plan to tackle mental health challenges, thousands of new mental health workers will be recruited to reduce waiting times.

Steve, pictured with youngsters on an unconnected visit to Wainwright Primary School, Mansfield, added: “I am proud, as part of a Labour Government, to be part of a commitment that ensures every young person in Mansfield has access to the mental health support they deserve.”
