More than 70 Inner Wheel members attended the Kirkby group’s 74th Charter celebrations at The Hostess restaurant, Sookholme.

It was hosted by Jacquie Chapman, who is in her second term of office as president.

Speaker John Pye gave a talk on his role as chairman of UK Antarctic Heritage Trust, whose mission is to promote greater public engagement with Antarctica through heritage, conservation, storytelling, and effective advocacy.

Jacqui said: “The event was more informal than previous occasions and enjoyed by everyone, especially a delicious meal provided by The Hostess.”
