High praise for academy trust’s humanitarian work

Posted onPosted on 7th May

The Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College, which has campuses at Sutton and Ollerton, has received double thanks for its work during the coronavirus pandemic.

They have come from Ashfield District Council and the MP for Ashfield, Lee Anderson.

The council’s chief executive, Carol Cooper-Smith, and leader, Coun Jason Zadronzny, thanked the college for the support it is providing for the Covid-19 humanitarian work.

The council said it would be honouring the college, and in particular principal Liz Barrett, when the pandemic calms down.

Liz said she was “overwhelmed by the acknowledgement and would like to thank all the staff for going above and beyond each and every day to support learners and the community.”

MP Lee Anderson personally thanked ATTFE College for assisting Ashfield and Eastwood constituents throughout the pandemic, whether it has been supplying food parcels or assisting with their wellbeing.
