The Mansfield Building Society’s Community Support Scheme has awarded Bakewell Silver Band £250 towards the purchase of sound recording equipment.

Ian Wildgoose, of the community brass band, said: “We would like to thank The Mansfield for these funds.

“The sound recording equipment will allow the band’s musical director to obtain a quality sound recording of the band or individual player performances, allowing him to identify areas of performance that need improvement.

“This will help take our music to the next level.”
