The Mansfield Building Society has given an award of £500 to Pleasley Colliery Welfare Band towards the cost of purchasing tuition books and items of equipment.

The funds were awarded as part of The Mansfield’s Community Support Scheme.

The Mansfield’s branch supervisor, Nicola Arnold, pictured with the band, said: “We are pleased to help. These type of clubs are essential for our local community and provide enjoyment through music and socialising.”
