Unitarians at the Old Meeting House church in Mansfield are continuing their support of their national charity, Send A Child To Hucklow, which provides holidays in Derbyshire for under-privileged children.
This year they are planning a fundraising weekend on 23rd and 24th July.
On the Saturday, from 10am to 12noon, there will be a coffee morning, including a cake stall and more. The following day, at 11am, there will be a service telling the story of the charity, which for 60 years has provided holidays for groups of children who would not otherwise have a holiday.
This year it is hoped to raise a national total of £60,000 to cover the costs of providing holidays for 17 groups of children, including two from Mansfield — Asquith Primary School and Oak Tree Primary School.
