Each year Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary organises for Santa to visit the villages on his sleigh to meet and bring Christmas greetings to children and their families.

President Mike Kings said: “This is our most important fundraising event of the year. But, we need help from Santa elves (collectors) or a chief reindeer to tow his sleigh.

“This creates an opportunity for other local organisations, support groups, and charities to join us and help ensure we are able to continue organising and safely maintaining all the various daytime and evening collections and routes.

“In return for the help that the members of each organisation or charity gives, a proportionate contribution can be donated towards their own charity or good cause funds.”

Current regular helpers include Ravenshead Inner Wheel, local school PTAs, and Blidworth Arts.
