Hello Yellow support at ATTFE

Posted onPosted on 22nd Oct

The Academy Transformation Trust Further Education, based at Sutton, marked the national Hello Yellow campaign to support young people’s mental health on World Mental Health Day with well-being activities for staff and learners.

Katie Barrett, head of learner experience said: “We recognise that life can be difficult and that anyone’s mental health can be negatively impacted upon at any time due to a million and one different reasons.

“Well-being is a huge focus for us all. It’s about quality of life, physical and mental health and making positive choices.

“We introduced Well-being Week to promote just how important well-being is and to help staff and learners look at simple strategies they can implement into their daily life to feel happier and healthier.”

Staff and learners supported Hello Yellow by dressing in yellow as well as holding a raffle and cake bake, which raised a total of £150.44.

Workshops took place across all four ATTFE campuses and included relaxation skills, goal setting, mindfulness and creative crafts.
