Garden party help for Amazons

Posted onPosted on 5th Nov

The Amazons Breast Cancer Support Group, which works for the benefit of breast cancer patients at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton, has thanked Christine Batho for a £200 donation, following her charity garden party.

The fundraiser included afternoon tea with cakes, a raffle, wine and water bottle stall, tombola and a cake stall.

It raised £1,400, which was shared between Christine’s chosen charities — Maggie’s Centre and the chemotherapy ward at Nottingham City Hospital, a charity supporting prostate cancer, and the Amazons.

Christine thanked family and friends who helped and supported the event, particularly Elaine Walker, Gaynor Lawrence, Sandra Hutchinson, Carolyn Makings and Evie, Emily Gibson, Finlay Gibson, Carol and Royce Richards, and June and Tony Harvey.
