Mansfield fire crews raised £5,000 for the Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group based at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton.

The fire and rescue team sold their 2019 calendars — showing photos of local crews at work — in aid of the Amazons and The Fire Fighters’ Charity.

The calendars sold out and further donations were received from generous supporters.

Firefighters and members of The Fire Prevention Team for Nottinghamshire Fire And Rescue Service are pictured in the Amazon Lounge at King’s Mill presenting £5,000 to the Amazons.

A spokesman for the Amazons thanked the firefighters and said their generosity would make a big difference in helping breast cancer patients at the hospital.
