A Mansfield businessman is among a group of fundraisers set to cycle 500 miles in 48 hours for charities.
Malcolm Hall, owner of Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies, and the team will set off from Mansfield on Friday, 30th September and ride to Twickenham Stadium, London, and then on to the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, before travelling back to Mansfield.
The cyclists are undergoing training from four-times Olympic cyclist Bryan Steel and they will be supported on the ride by his newly formed Godfrey Bikewear Race Team.
The team will include Bryan and other local business people, Steve Sheppard, Darren Fowkes, Connor Doran, Mark Dowthwaite and Tracey and Steve Pollock
“I completed the 310-mile (500 kilometres) Newcastle to London ride in 24 hours last year so I have an idea of what to expect,’’ said Malcolm, who will raise money for Mansfield’s Fountaindale SEN School.
Hall-Fast has raised £60,000 for the school, which helps children with complex physical and sensory needs, in the past three years.
