Two walking and cycling schemes in Mansfield and Sutton have received funding as part of the Government’s £200m Active Travel Fund.
Mansfield MP and Nottinghamshire County Council leader Ben Bradley said: “I am delighted that Nottinghamshire is receiving over £4.5m to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of walking and cycling routes.
“It’s fantastic that Mansfield has been prioritised and will be receiving a share of this funding. I hope it encourages my constituents to make greener choices and make the most of the great outdoors.”
The schemes are at the A611 Derby Road (West Notts College), Mansfield, and the B6021 Kirkby Folly Road, Sutton.
