Your Health Notts, a public health funded integrated wellbeing service, is focusing on sustainable behavioural change for members of the public, offering free support to help lose and maintain a healthy weight, increase physical activity in everyday life, improve children’s health, reduce alcohol, and stop smoking.
The range of programmes are delivered by a dedicated team of qualified health professionals, including nutritionists, physical activity specialists, and smoking and alcohol advisors.
Tailored sessions are provided one-to-one and also throughout the county in accessible local community venues. Anyone can refer themselves if they meet the eligibility criteria.
A spokesperson said: “The way our lives and communities are structured is often against us when it comes to maintaining good health. Making even small changes can have a significant impact over time, reducing our risk of heart attack, stroke and diabetes as well as increasing our mood, energy, mobility, and immune systems.
“Our programme is ultimately about helping people to live longer, healthier lives. Your Health Notts isn’t a quick fix. We offer support through a range of programmes that focus on the whole person, helping make lasting healthy changes that fit into our lives.“
