Mansfield Museum is hosting its biggest Makers Market so far on Saturday, 1st April, from 10am to 3pm, to sell locally-made gifts and crafts. Entry is free.
During the Easter school holidays there is the chance to take a trip to the Undiscovered Island. The immersive exhibition from Makers of Imaginary Worlds is free for all visitors thanks to Arts Council funding.
There will also be daily free ARTBEAT! sessions in the school holidays, with family fun from 10am to 12noon.

Bamfords Auctioneers value items at the museum on the first Thursday of every month, from 1pm to 3pm. The next event is on 6th April.,
A Sanctuary and Games Café runs every fortnight on a Thursday from 1pm until 2.30pm. Forthcoming dates include 30th March and 13th April.
Swap Shop reopens on Wednesday, 19th April until Friday, 26th May. Simply take along any clean and reusable clothes you wish to donate to the museum and it will give you the equivalent number of tokens. Then ‘go shopping’ and choose your ‘new to you’ goodies from its stock. It also offer ‘pay what you can’ for anyone browsing without making a donation.
Held on the third Wednesday of the month from 1.30pm to 3pm, The Reminiscence Tea Room is ideal for anyone living with memory loss, their friends and family. Go along on 19th April for tea, cake and a friendly chat with volunteers. This is a free event and no booking is required.
The next Stay and Play session for under 5s takes place from 12.30pm to 2pm on Friday, 28th April and is themed around the King’s coronation with the chance to make flags and bunting. And why not take your teddy bears along for a tea party in the Buxton Gallery?
