Mansfield Rotary Club is preparing to host its annual celebration of brave young people at its landmark 25th Courage Awards event.

To mark the anniversary it is trying to contact as many of the previous nominees as possible to invite them — and their parents — to the 25th celebration at Portland College in March.

Rotary club president Phil Richmond said: “Those who have attended previous events will know that it is always a moving occasion, and an inspiration to the young people who are honoured and their parents.

“Last March we again had a superb group of nominees, proof if any were needed that the event continues to go from strength to strength.

“Now we would also like those who have joined our celebrations over the past 24 years to get in touch and come along this year to make our celebration extra special.”

Schools are being invited to put forward young people to be nominated for the event on Tuesday, 1st March, at Portland College.

The Rotary club has thanked Les Marshall and his colleagues at the Schools Advisory Service for their support of the Courage Awards.
