Members of Kirkby Inner Wheel donated tins of food and dry goods at their October monthly meeting to be used at the Summit Centre Food Club in the town.
The food club, which has been running for almost a year, provides families with good quality food at a low cost.
It offers a box of food worth around £12 for £3.50. Members, who must live or work within five miles of the Summit Centre, can collect on Fridays, from 1 to 2pm.
Patrizia Canova (pictured left) accepted the donation of two large boxes of food from Kirkby Inner Wheel president Barbara Williams. Patrizia works tirelessly helping the homeless and those in need.
Earlier in the month Barbara Williams hosted a curry night at her home with all profits being donated to Inner Wheel charities.
Kirkby Inner Wheel meets on the second Monday of the month at the Summit Centre on Pavilion Road.
