A pupil at Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy is to be recognised for his contribution to sports and his sportsmanship by receiving a day out at Mansfield Town.
Dylan Goodman was entered into a competition run by the Stags’ Football In The Community scheme and their sponsors, Teachers UK, a Mansfield-based recruitment company.
He was nominated by PE co-ordinator and manager of the school football team, Mrs Janet Perkin, who said: “Dylan has played for the school team for two years and has always been supportive to all the players.
“He is a polite and hardworking boy who always tries his best.”
Dylan will have a kick-about with the Stags players ahead of their match against Luton Town at One Call Stadium on Saturday, receive a new football shirt and lead the players on to the pitch.
His dad, Kev Goodman, said: “He loves his football and we will all be there to watch him.”
