The Flying High Academy at Ladybrook, Mansfield, celebrated World Book Day with pupils dressing as their favourite characters from books, reading aloud and swapping books.
Six-year-old Brandon Smith said: “I like reading because it is cool and super fun. I have enjoyed dressing up as my favourite character.”
Megan Broderick (6) said: “Reading is my favourite thing to do because I want to be a free reader and that means I can choose a book for home like the Topsy and Tim collection.”
“World Book Day has helped me to think about all my favourite authors and which books I would like to buy next,” said Madison Pallester (10).
