First-time sky dive to support four charities

A Sutton woman is to undertake her first sky dive in September as she raises money for four charities.

Lisa McLernon, (37), works for Royal Mail which has agreed to match-fund her efforts.

She will be supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK, Fibromyalgia Action UK, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and the Royal School for the Deaf, Derby, when she makes the leap in September from Langar.

“I want to make a difference in people’s as well as animals’ lives for the better,” Lisa said

“I have particularly chosen Fibromyalgia Action UK as I have a number of close friends who I see suffer this ‘invisible’ illness on a daily basis and I feel I need to help towards a cure.

“Alzheimer’s is heartbreaking to witness in friends and family. Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust do valuable work, helping to improve the lives on animals and their environment.

“Just thinking of the money that I’m raising for these great causes has spurred me on to do more charity work in the future.
