Mansfield District Council Civic Centre and Contact Centre will be closed to the public from 5pm on Wednesday, 23rd December until 8.30am on Tuesday 29th.
They will also be closed on Friday, 1st January, opening again from Monday 4th.
For emergencies outside these opening hours, customers should call the 24-hour central control on 01623 463050.
Some residents will also see a change to their bin collections during the Christmas and New Year period.
There will be no Mansfield District Council collections on the Fridays of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Anyone with bins normally collected on Fridays will be reminded over the coming weeks what day their waste will be collected from information that will be stickered to their bin.
If a collection is due on Friday 25th December (Christmas Day) it will be emptied on Saturday, 19th December instead. This will be your blue recycling bin.
If a bin collection is due on Friday, st1 January (New Year’s Day) it will be emptied on Saturday, 2nd January instead. This will be your green general waste bin.
Bins due for collection on Monday, 28th December and Thursday, 31st December will be collected as normal.
All other bin collections will remain the same and will not be stickered.
If it snows and waste has not been collected because of the severe weather, residents are asked to leave bisn out and they will be collected as soon as possible.
Garden waste collections in the brown bins are monthly from December to February. Residents should check their calendar for details or call 01623 463463.
