Festival to remember caring Clipstone teenager

Posted onPosted on 4th Jul

A foundation set up in memory of Clipstone teenager Evie Wilson, who died two years ago, is hosting a big fundraising day on Sunday, 7th July.

Evie Fest ’23 will raise money for The Lashes Foundation, which remembers 13-year-old Evie and aims to support those in need in the community, remembering her kindness to others.

The festival at Clipstone Cricket Club will run from 12noon until 8pm and include live music, performances, stalls, inflatables, food, a bar, tombola, the chance to buy Lashes merchandise and much more.

There will be performances by Triple Threat and Destiny Cheer as well as live music from Tuesday’s Child (3pm), Moonshiners (5pm) and Usual Suspects (7pm).

Admission £5 for adults, OAPs £3, children £2 (or free with wristband for inflatables £10), under-2s free.

Evie’s father is Lee Wilson, a former Stags player and a popular member of Clipstone Cricket Club.

Lee said the foundation was set up to ensure her name and kindness for others would live on. He explained it was called the Lashes Foundation because Evie loved fake eyelashes.
