Portland College, Mansfield, has a new performance and recording studio for learners thanks to the generosity of fundraisers, led by Richard Fuller.
Mr Fuller, of Kirkby-based County Battery Services, raised money to help transform the studio, together with other college supporters, and cut a ribbon at the opening event (above).
“The room has been completely transformed, it’s impressive,” he said.
The studio features a range of equipment such as instruments and recording hardware to enable students to develop their creative arts and media skills.
There is also a range of ‘retro’ tapes and records for sale to staff and learners.
Donations of items from the public, such as vinyl records, tapes and instruments can be left at the college’s main reception.
