Nottinghamshire Community Foundation is organising another Dragons Den type of event — hosted by Nottingham University — for entrepreneurs to pitch business ideas and apply for a small grant.
Applicants will be given the opportunity to present to a panel of successful local business leaders on 26th September, who will decide which ideas to give a grant of up to £3,000.
Many ‘dragons’ may also offer advice and support for free.
Would-be applicants who have a business idea and can provide a viable business plan should apply to the Dragon Den at www.nottscf.org.uk/grant/dragons-den-2023
The closing date for applications is 21st August.
Nina Dauban, chief executive of Nottinghamshire Community Foundation, said: “We are pleased to announce our 12th den and are delighted it is being hosting by Nottingham University.
“Previous dens have shown us that applicants get so much more than the grant. Past winners have been given free premises, new websites and IT support, new machinery, free marketing, and even investment from the Dragons.
“That’s why our dragons are angels really!”
