Project consultancy Kinver Solutions has been appointed by Ashfield District Council to the roles of project managers, contract administrators and cost consultants on a £4m decarbonisation scheme.

The £4m schemes, funded by the government, will see 423 tons of carbon dioxide removed annually from the council’s operation.

Work at Hucknall Leisure Centre will see old gas boilers replaced with modern air source heat pumps, which will also be installed at the council’s head office in Kirkby.

Appointed to oversee the works onsite and through to operation, Kinver Solutions said it would oversee the construction phase of the project, having already been involved in the design and procurement elements of the contract.

Additionally, it will liaise with end users and ensure that the new technology is explained to operational teams for efficient long-term use into the future.
