Mansfield Town have signed versatile winger Colin Daniel on loan from Port Vale until the end of the season.
The left-footed former Macclesfield Town man, whose nickname is ‘Junior’, is a familiar face to Stags’ fans, following a two-year spell at One Call Stadium between 2012 and 2014, in which he netted eight goals in 75 appearances.
The 28-year-old helped the club to promotion from the Conference National, scoring five goals in the 2012-13 campaign.
With 13 games remaining this season, Daniel will be planning to establish himself in Adam Murray’s starting 1, as the Stags aim for a top seven position in Sky Bet League Two.
Daniel has appeared 25 times for 11th-placed League One side Port Vale this season.
Speaking to www.mansfieldtown.net, Daniel said: “It’s good to see some old faces and some new ones also. Everyone has welcomed me back with open arms and I’m really pleased to be back. There seems to be a real buzz around the place
“I played with the manager (Adam Murray) during my last spell here. He’s a good guy and I know he wants to do well. I want to do well for him and the team.”
