Samworth Church Academy’s “very own Billy Elliott”, 16-year-old George Fryer, has been accepted at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts to study on a foundation dance course.

The Mansfield academy said: “This is one of the top schools. George had a really tough audition and only a few students were selected.

“He will be moving to Liverpool to follow his dream. This is a phenomenal achievement.”
