A regular drop-in coffee morning in Forest Town has been supported by county councillors.
The Thursday coffee mornings at St Alban’s Church are held from 10am to 12noon and are open to all.
A spokesperson said: “They are happy, friendly events and there is always someone to talk to. Why not drop in and enjoy a chat or just listen, if that’s what you prefer.”
At one of the meetings councillors Nigel Moxon and Robert Corden presented the church with a cheque as part of Nottinghamshire County Council’s Places For People, Places Where People Are Welcome.
