Mansfield District Council is hosting a number of special markets in Mansfield Market Place, the first to celebrate Mother’s Day.
On Saturday, 5th March the market will be the place to be for Mother’s Day gifts with crafts and food sold by local traders.
The town centre team are calling out for new traders and crafters to join in, bringing hand crafted gifts such as cards, jewellery, clothing, and home ware items.
The Mother’s Day Spring Market runs from 8.30am to 4pm and stalls are priced at just £15. There is also free car parking for traders.
There are a whole host of opportunities for casual traders and crafters to sell their wares throughout the rest of the year too.
Themes include monthly Farmers Markets, Easter, Love Your Local Market and Christmas.
These special markets come about after plans were set to transform the Market Place with a £100k investment. There will be new stalls, quality produce and an inviting atmosphere with the help of professional entertainment.
Portfolio Holder for Corporate Services Cllr Stewart Rickersey and leader of the market transformation said: “Quality products are at the heart of the new market so we are keen to encourage the best traders and crafters around, not only for our special markets but for regular spots in the town.
“Our vision is that Mansfield Market will be safe, welcoming and inviting for shoppers, giving them a reason to come back time and time again.”
