A support group for parents and carers of children with additional needs is hosting a fundraising craft fair and raffle.

Send United, which started on Facebook, said admission to the charity fundraiser at the Staff Of Life pub, Sutton, on Saturday, 25 March, from 12noon to 4pm, is free.

The craft fair will include a variety of stalls, raffle, tombola, face-painting, balloon twister and refreshments.

Natalie Lewis, one of the group’s founders and a parent of a child with additional needs herself, said members support each other and give and share advice.

“We can talk to other parents and carers in a safe space who understand,” she added.

“We hold coffee mornings for parents and carers as well as  family fun sessions and day trips. We know how isolating it can be and we want to support other local parents and carers.

“We would love for the public to come down and enjoy a fun day out at the craft fair as well as supporting us raising money for a good cause.”
