Couple’s party tonic for neonatal unit

A Sherwood Forest Hospitals staff member, his wife and family donned their dancing shoes and raised £900 for the trust’s neonatal unit.

Steve Davies, who works at King’s Mill Hospital as a materials management and goods receipt services co-ordinator, and his wife, Angela, decided to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year by hosting a 1940s-themed party.

Instead of presents, the couple asked for donations to the neonatal unit to mark the care their nephew, Benjamin, received there six years ago.

Steve said: “Benjamin was looked after brilliantly and is now a healthy little boy.

“When we were planning our anniversary party we thought that it would be good to give something back to the hospital and say a proper thank you.”
