Ashfield District Council is reopening its Urban Road, Kirkby, office on an appointment-based system from today (Monday, 10th August).

The Brook Street, Sutton, office will reopen the following week.

The council said residents should call the relevant department directly who will advise if an appointment is necessary. Wherever possible, telephone or email enquiries are encouraged and appointments will only be made if they are necessary.

Many of its services can be accessed quickly and easily online at www.ashfield.gov.uk

Guidance on what to expect and what to do when visiting the office will discussed when booking. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, unless exempt from doing so.

Social distancing measures will be in place, including signage and screens, to protect visitors and staff. Residents without a pre-arranged appointment will not be able to access the offices

The council added that when attending appointments people should go alone wherever possible.
